FS25 2020 John Deere W235 and W260 Swather

Introducing the 2020 John Deere W235 and W260. This mod traces it's roots back to FS15, through FS17, FS19, FS22, now FS25. There isn't a single piece of mesh that hasn't been customized or improved in some way. This mod has been converted to display water droplets on external surfaces and contains mud mesh for all tires. Features include:
Engine options: 235hp or 260hp
Tire options: Bias button (care tire) or Radial bar (non-care tire)
Additional step: installed or removed
Beacons: installed or removed
Precision Ag: StarFire 3000/CommandCenter Only, StarFire 3000/GreenStar 3 2630, StarFire 6000/CommandCenter Only, and StarFire 6000/GreenStar 3 2630.

Also featuring:
Accurate lighting internal and external with animated knob and LED indicators on CommandArm. 16 foot 995 rotary cutter bar (this was the precursor to the newer R500) with "windbent" custom tarp, updated hazard lighting, V-10 steel conditioning rollers, anti-slip strips, and an accurate drive motor. Accurate work lights forward and rear. Accurate cab details such as mirrors, cowls, rear tinted window, new diesel and DEF caps, new exhaust pipe, work platform, and steps. Inside the cab you'll find displays that indicate, changing gear indications (1 and 2), working engine speed buttons, engine hours, gal/hr, and power consumption. You'll find an animated header engage switch as well as an animated turn signal/high beam knob. With the GreenStar 3 CommandDisplay and 2630 you can enjoy realistic startup screens and warning screens that clear as you move the swather either forward or in reverse.

Finally, I would like to point out that this mod/edit is a combination of many different works and without those original modders, a large portion of this would not have been within the scope of my capabilities. My intention with this release is to provide a piece of machinery that the community will hopefully enjoy as much as I have enjoyed pouring over OEM manuals and technical specs, learning Blender, and honing my skills in GE to produce something impactful. As more applicable mods become available, more features will be added. Please note that some interior cab parts are not converted to the new FS25 material system and utilize a custom shader. This does not impact gameplay at this time in any way. I hope you all enjoy.

UPDATE 16 MAY 2025:
1) minor corrections to .i3d
2) added new custom antenna to accompany the Motorola CM200 radio based on real-world input from Skywalker Farms (THANK YOU!)
3) updated IC clickpoints to be compatible with latest version of FS25 IC. Note: Base game GPS steering clickpoint on 2630 monitor hides/shows steering lines and the clickpoint on the joystick will engage/disengage base game steering assist. You must have steering assist at a "Ready" stage for these points to be visible.

could u add option where it can make hay while it mows? that way if u need grass or silage you can mow regularly, but if u need Hay u can turn on the option to mow and turn to hay

Hello! I tried to add the tedder function to work in conjunction with the mower, however I don’t think the game allows both for a single vehicle. The way other mods have got around that limitation is by using an “attached” piece of equipment that does the tedding. With that said, I think this will have to wait till I can successfully separate the disk mower and make it attachable along with possibly other headers as well. This might come in a future update but I don’t have a timeline for if or when that might be.

Question Does it just mow grasses or can it be used in a grain field like the macdon? i downloaded it because its a JD but kinda hopeing to swath wheat oats and barley and dont want to have a macdon and JD swather for 2 jobs
It depends on how the map you are playing on is set up. It will mow anything defined in the mower section of the maps’s xmls.
any idea when there will be a update to allow swapping out headers? like going from mowing to grain swathe modes? seems like it is just a mower witch there is millions of options for mowing the swathe ability is ripe for a first ever non macdon swath option i see real pictures of the JD W260 with a grain header working a field when i googled for a fs25 JD swathe vehicle.
This might come in a future update but I don’t have a timeline for if or when that might be. I apologize. I encourage you to look into modifications to your favorite maps to allow for mowing of other crops like wheat. Plenty of W235 and W260s out there using the disk head to mow crops for silage. Although you don’t have the width, you can typically cut faster with the disk mower so in my opinion it evens out. You also don’t get a crimp on the crop to help it dry down with a draper. There are advantages of both. Perhaps some day I’ll add that option.

No, unfortunately the header isn’t removable at this time. It may be implemented in a future update.
